New shortcuts, Archive/Unarchive your own course and more features are on the way with Gradarius Release 1.54

We are working hard to make Gradarius platform one of a kind. We are very pleased to announce that more upgrades are on the way.

  • We aded new shortcuts

integrals

  • int for an indefinite integral
  • cint for a contour integral
  • dint for a definite integral

union/intersection

  • cup for a union
  • cap for an intersection

vectors

  • vec + symbol for an arrow notation of a vector named symbol
  • vec + < or <> for an angle brackets notation
  • vi or vx, vj or vy, vk or vz for a unit vector (<1,0,0>, <0,1,0>, <0,0,1> respectively)

  • We improved the 'Solve as student' functionality for instructors. Quick exercise bar is now available in instructor solutions and new 'My solutions' tab lists all created by the 'Solve as student' feature solutions. Now it is easier to keep track of your own solutions and can even solve problems as students in unpublished assignments as your work can be later accessed under "my solutions tab.

  • We allowed experts to improve their solutions; the 'Clone' control, previously cloning the solution as Reference, renamed to 'Save as reference'

  • Instructors now can experiment with grading in expert solutions. New 'Try different strategy' control in solver allows to change the grading strategy for the current solution and see how it affects the score. Please note that in order to use this feature, we have to make sure to solve the problem as a student after choosing the problem through the "Problems" link. This feature is not available for the instructor solutions that are saved under "My Solutions" tab.

  • Instructors are allowed archive their inactive courses. Please note that the access right must be first granted to the instructor by the U-admin, therefore please talk to your U-admin if you would like to be able to archive your own courses. Also archiving can be reversed by selecting "Unarchive" from the "Options" menu list as shown below.

In order to restore an archived course, simply choose "Unarchive" from the Options menu.

  • Regrade and Change score functionalities were combined in one dialog. Now, the Regrade control brings up the dialog offering Manual and Automatic options, with Automatic being the default one. The Regrade control is available from solver as well as from the solution list.

This is all for now. We would be happy if you can share your thoughts with us by adding your comments below.
